The Constabulary is looking for an officer whose tasks are to undertake & support process reviews and projects across the force providing research and project assistance.
Main Duties:
- Undertake and support projects and reviews of processes/structures and new policy developments in the Force.
- Provide advice, facilitation and support to all members of the Force in relation to process improvement techniques, research, analysis, problem solving and project management.
- Work collaboratively with districts, departments and colleagues, maximising transfer of appropriate skills, acting as a catalyst for change and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
- Identify and explore issues which may impact on service provision, highlighting opportunities and options for change.
- Liaise, where appropriate, with customers and stakeholders (e.g. HMIC, Home Office, Police Authority and internal colleagues).
- Assist in the collation, processing and analyses of data, both numerical and qualitative, using a variety of statistical techniques and computer databases and to present data as appropriate.
- Design and undertake process/structure reviews, surveys, activity analysis, in line with Home Office statutory requirements and supporting the range of other Performance Improvement Departments functions.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent educational standard and/or have previous experience of project and development research work
- Hold a full current driving licence or able to travel around the force area using alternative transport
- Experience of using a variety of computer packages
- Experience of working with a variety of ranks/ scales of staff within an organization
- Experience of communication in writing i.e. report writing
- Experience of communication orally i.e. presentations
- Experience of collating, processing and analysing quantitative data
- Experience of collating, processing and analysing qualitative data
- Experience Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
