There have been many mentions in the news and across the whole spectrum of UK newspapers concerning the shooting by police of innocent victims and times during which there has been an incident involving armed policemen. However, the armed police face cases every day and there are just a handful of occasions every year in which a bullet is fired. The police will only ever shoot to kill if it is 100% necessary.
