British Transport Police

If we need to get from A to B, we need a mode of transport. This can be either public transport such as buses and trains or a form of personal transport. For most people this is a car and there are millions of the things zooming around the British Isles. From time to time, it is almost inevitable that there will be a problem with any kind of abuse or incident which occurs on the nation's highways. When this happens, the British transport police are responsible for ensuring a safe and legal outcome.

The British transport police are made up of trained police officers who are specialised in transport issues and how to resolve them. There are a number of aspects to their job from catching speeding getaway cars to insurance breaches. Their job is varied and no two cases are ever the same.

Those driving without insurance are often the reason we all pay so much on our own premiums. This is unfair and traffic police are there to ensure we are not the victims each time we turn the key in our ignition.

The police often tackle the cause of accident in order to save lives and injuries. They tackle the ever increasing problem of drink driving and driving whilst uninsured or disqualified. Spotting such drivers is a fine art and the British transport police are trained with incredible precision to ensure they are able to spot the offenders before somebody is hurt.

Their job is very responsible and there is sometimes a large amount of pressure placed upon their shoulders. As such a trusted position, officers are chosen with great care and attention to detail and then trained to a very high level. This is to ensure our safety and confidence to use the transport available to us. Becoming a transport officer is a great opportunity to make a real difference and possible save many lives.

The British transport police are a highly trained and very responsible group of people who are charged with keeping us safe and able to use the transport facilities of the UK in a safe and comfortable manner. Thanks to the work of the British transport police, we are able to enjoy safety and know that we are protected every time we need to get from At to B. Becoming a transport police officer is much the same as becoming a police officer, only perhaps more specialised.
